The upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone map has been revealed in a strangely appetizing way.
Fortune’s Keep will come to Call of Duty: Warzone as part of the upcoming season 4 of the battle royale. Activision shared the island’s tactical map in a tweet (opens in new tab)giving us a glimpse of what is to come.
Smaller than Caldera but larger than Rebirth Island, it will be playable in Warzone’s Resurgence game mode, so expect to fight in smaller lobbies and faster matches. A winery, bay, cemetery and lighthouse are all present across the island, as well as a fortress that appears to be a large mansion. There’s also a building on top of a mountain called the Overlook, which Stephen King fans can expect to be a hotel.
The map is much greener than Rebirth Island, better fitting in with Caldera’s tropical environment. It also appears to feature more open space – particularly on the right side of the island – although there are plenty of tight corners and dense collections of buildings scattered throughout.
Activision hasn’t confirmed when Warzone Season 4 will launch, but the update can’t be too far off if we’re already eyeing this new map. The battle royale sequel, Warzone 2, is also set to release later this year, right after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Warzone will remain active once the sequel ends, but player progression will not be shared across games.

cake delivery
Fortune’s Keep had a more edible reveal than most Warzone updates. Parts of the map were rolled out gradually over the course of Monday, June 13, as streamers and content creators were given individual sections of a 12-part puzzle to slowly piece together.
Stranger, some creators received whole cakes that had a section of the new map printed on their icing. YouTuber JGOD shared a video (opens in new tab) of the cake they received, just like the streamer bear pig (opens in new tab)showing some very appetizing green pipes.
The final pieces of the puzzle were tweeted directly by the Call of Duty and Raven Software Twitter accounts, before being assembled into the final reveal. Free cakes aren’t a bad marketing stunt, although we’re a little disappointed that Fortune’s Keep doesn’t even house a bakery.
Activision has shown its penchant for weird reveals lately. Last month, it revealed the release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by painting a mural of Ghost on the deck of a container ship.
