Motorola is releasing back-to-back phones. While the Moto G32 is launching today, the company has already announced the next release, the Moto G62.
The Moto G62 will launch on August 11, and the teasers reveal almost everything we need to know about the phone. The teasers are on Flipkart (opens in new tab), and like any other Moto phone, it will be a Flipkart exclusively for online sales. It will also be available on select retail channels.
Moto G62: main features and specifications
The Moto G62 comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike the recently announced Moto G32, the Moto G62 follows the usual Motorola family design, making it similar to all other Motorola phones.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 695 5G SoC. It’s the same Motorola chipset used in the Moto G71 and Moto G82.
Coming to the camera is a 50MP triple camera setup. With a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a third dedicated macro camera.
There’s a 5000mAh battery in the phone, but fast charging isn’t mentioned in the teasers. Rumor has it that it comes with 20W fast charging in India.
The phone comes with stereo speakers and support for Dolby Atmos.
Moto G62 – a downgrade over the Moto G71
I talked about the Moto G32 last week when it was teased that it was very similar to the Moto G42 and Moto G52. The same is the case with the Moto G62 and Moto G71. The Moto G62 can be seen as a slight downgrade from the Moto G71.
The only real downgrade of the Moto G62 over the Moto G71 is the display. The Moto G71 comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rate, while the Moto G62 comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate.
All other specifications and features remain the same. Although there is a slight difference in the phone’s design. Let’s wait for the Moto G62 to be released to see how the company will price the phone in India.
