The latest games coming to Xbox Game Pass have been announced, and there are some big names among them.
The most tempting game in the new Xbox Game Pass lineup is Torment: Tides of Numenera. It’s the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment that harks back to the early days of isometric RPGs. Expect a character-rich story, plenty of tough decisions to bear, and an unusual science fantasy world. It’s not common for games like this to come to console, but between Tides of Numenera, the Wasteland series, and the original Fallout, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have plenty of options.
Microsoft also announced (opens in new tab) the critically acclaimed puzzle-platformer Inside is coming to the service. The minimalist platformer from the creator of Limbo is without a doubt one of the best released in the last decade. Its humor is sinister, its rhythm masterful and its ending unforgettable. At just a few hours long, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not playing this one.
Ubisoft’s open-world hackathon Watch Dogs 2 is also coming to the platform, allowing you to enter drones, cars, and the public infrastructure of the San Francisco Bay Area. While the sequel didn’t release to rave reviews, it does have all the basic features that have made Ubisoft’s open-world adventures so popular.
A fine but sound selection
Also on the list is As Dusk Falls, a new interactive adventure that will launch for Microsoft’s subscription platform on launch day. Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation will also add to the Xbox Game Pass RTS roster, while MotoGP 22 will have you burning rubber in an authentic motorcycle simulator.
Here are all the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass by the end of July:

- Watch Dogs 2 (cloud, console and PC) – July 19
- MotoGP 22 (Cloud, Console and PC) – July 21
- Torment: Tides of Numenera (Cloud and Console) – July 21
- Inside (cloud, console and PC) – July 29
Touch controls have also been added for a bunch of games, including the text-based indie hit Citizen Sleeper and Yakuza 0. That means you’ll be able to play them on your phone using Xbox Cloud Gaming.
But as new titles appear, others disappear. You’ll have to say goodbye to the Katamari Damacy Reroll on July 31st, so make sure you get your cosmic cluster before it’s gone.
