The Xiaomi 12S Ultra stole all the spotlight yesterday, but the Xiaomi 12S series wasn’t all that was launched at the event. Xiaomi also presented the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro and Xiaomi Book Pro laptops at the event.
Xiaomi Band 7 Pro
The Xiaomi Band 7 Pro joins Xiaomi’s highly acclaimed Xiaomi Band series of smart bands. And it comes as the Pro version of the Xiaomi Band 7 that was released in early May.
The Pro model walks a fine line between a smartband and a smartwatch as it has a large 1.67-inch AMOLED display. Which is even bigger than the Huawei Band 6 or Redmi Smart Band 7 Pro.
Not just the size, the Band 7 Pro has a pixel density of 326ppi, which meets Apple’s “retina” standards. The screen is 280 x 456 pixels in resolution. In addition, the band comes with an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. And always on display is also available
Another big advantage the Band 7 Pro has over the Band 7 is the built-in standalone GPS.
The bracelet is available in two colors, light gold and black, and comes in a variety of bracelet colors.
There are 180 new watch faces available for the Pro band. And in terms of fitness features, it comes with 117 exercise modes. And it features all-day heart rate tracking, blood oxygen tracking, sleep tracking, step counting, calorie counting and more.
Xiaomi Band 7 Pro lasts up to 12 days on a single charge with its 235mAh battery. It also has a 5ATM water resistant design.
The band costs CNY 399 (approximately Rs. 4,700) in China. We can expect the band to launch in India in a year or so, following Xiaomi’s track record.
Xiaomi Book Pro 2022
Xiaomi has launched two laptops in China, Xiaomi Book Pro 16 OLED and Xiaomi Book Pro 14 OLED. Both laptops come with similar features aside from screens and battery size.
The Xiaomi Book Pro 16 OLED comes with a 16-inch 4K OLED screen. The monitor supports Dolby Vision. Xiaomi Book Pro 14 OLED comes with a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. This screen also supports Dolby Vision.
Talking about the specs, the high-end variants of the Book Pro 16 OLED and Book Pro 14 OLED are powered by Intel Core i7 1260P CPU and have a dedicated Nvidia RTX 2050 GPU graphics card. Both laptops come with 16GB of RAM and configuration. of internal storage of 512 GB.
The Book Pro 16 has a 70Wh battery and charges at 100W. The Book Pro 14 comes with a 56Wh battery and also charges at 100W.
Coming to pricing, the Xiaomi Book Pro 16 OLED starts at CNY 6,499 while the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 OLED starts at CNY 5,899.

As for the availability of the laptops, it’s only now launched in China. The company did not mention the global availability of the laptops.
